Scuba diving : first steps
3) Outdoor activity (seaside): for a period of two weeks during summertime, at our sporting resort in Corsica (Punto Mare of Porto).
This area is especially interesting because it is within the Natural Park of Corsica, listed as World Heritage monument by UNESCO , allowing not only diving in one of the most beautiful part of the Mediterranean Sea, but also hiking in the nearby mountains.
The Programme provides seven days devoted to diving and seaside excursions on inflatable craft - training also for on-board operations- and seven days devoted to hiking and visiting UNESCO sites. At the end of the period, and training be successful, a patent will be released as Sport Scuba Diver from the Scuba Diving School of Piacenza. Moreover, as envisaged by our Regulations, the pupils who get the patent with a high score will be able to participate in future activities of our Organization as Tutor. The accommodation ( bed, breakfast and 1 lunch) is in youth hostels. The trip is planned for the whole group in transfer for Corsica.
Students' families can participate, having free pass for seaside and hiking activities. For the accommodation, they can ask for other solutions than hostels.
The Project foresees the involvement of a Teacher from the school , who will act as a co-ordinator for the various activities.
The Scuba Diving School of Piacenza provides qualified trainers for the planning of each step of the Project. Moreover, all the equipments for scuba diving are given for free both in indoor and outdoor activities , together with the craft for diving at the seaside ,any technical advice required and the photographic documentation.
